I am so very happy to be supporting the Art in Healthcare charity this year for the first time through the Twitter Art Exhibit #TAE19 (twitterartexhibit.org). The opening night art sale will take place on May 11 and the exhibit will end on the 13th in Edinburgh Scotland at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall. All pieces will also be available to purchase online and all proceeds will go to Art in Healthcare charity. #TAE was set up 10 years by artist David Sandum and his organization continues to raise money for different charities around the world. I couldn’t pass this opportunity up.
I heard about this wonderful cause when listening to a podcast called Art and Cocktails with Katerina Popova as host and TJ Walsh as her guest. As they were chatting, TJ Walsh had mentioned his participation in the Twitter Art Exhibition and explained that this organization asks artists to donate their art that will be auctioned off and the proceeds go towards a charity. So I went to Twitter and connected with TAE. This year #TAE is working with a charity called Art in Healthcare which is an organization dedicated to providing art for every healthcare setting in Scotland (artinhealthcare.org.uk) in order to improve the health and wellbeing of others by creating more welcoming and positive healthcare environments.
I believe that art is healing, so I am very happy to make a contribution and look forward to participating again next year.
