Brooklyn Art Library
This series of works is comprised of small explorative projects I created through the Brooklyn Art Library in Brooklyn New York. All projects (except the “The Canvas Project” are catalogued and are part of the library’s permanent collection. Each piece played a significant part in discovering my artistic voice and style. These projects ignited my creativity as I returned to art-making. Such practices have pushed me artistically and inspired future works like the “Ometti Collection”.
Sketchbook Project Vol. 14 - This project allowed me to explore the possibilities of using rocks as subject matter while learning more about watercolours as a medium. Click on the image to see a digitized sketchbook online.
The Tiny Sketchbook Project - "Microscopic Hiking Moments". This sketchbook is no bigger than a large paperclip. This tiny book contains small sketches of a hike I went on during a beautiful crisp autumn day. All sketchbooks were placed in a tiny suitcase and traveled overseas to countries such as London and Paris to participate in art fairs.
The Canvas Project - "Ragtag" For this project, the word prompt "ragtag" was assigned to me and used as inspiration to create this tiny 4x4 painting. The small canvas was then exchanged with another participating artist.
